Hibernating for the Summer!

OK it’s a bit in reverse from where I grew up in Illinois. We Zonies go indoors for June July and August instead of the winter. But there is a saying that keeps me sane when it’s 117 out. "You never have to shovel sunshine". I could not agree more!

We have some great alternatives to beat the heat! Our Express weddings can accommodate up to 20 guests inside plus the bride and groom, maid of honor and groomsmen. And it’s a chilly 73 inside the old farmhouse! All summer long we are offering the weddings 7 days a week. We also have teamed up with a few indoor locations for receptions. So couples can have a quick outdoor wedding with up to 50 guests near sunset then go inside for a full scale indoor reception. Visit our web site or call for more details. What a fantastic month this month has been so far, at the end of April we will be over 50 weddings since we opened at the Chapel (most have been the small intimate eXpress). We had a wedding last night at FULL capacity well more than full, but it was beautiful. The bride and groom both were in tears and laughter during the ceremony. The couple brought a few extra strands of lights and wrapped them around the fence and it really transformed the entire courtyard. The groom said he was worried when he saw the place last week (because it is so simple) but was blown away at the transformation. I admit it does take a little vision. We hope to have more pictures as soon as we get them from the couples. I try and take them...but...well I'm not that good behind the lens. At 9:00 last night I sat on the front porch of the farmhouse and had a grin ear to ear....I am so happy that I can do what I love. A special thanks to Heidi's crew they always make me look good.

You are welcome to bring in your own officiant at your own cost, no discount is given for your own officiant.

Valantines Day Weddings

Chapel At The Farm had 8 weddings that date! Wow! Thanks to everyone the helped Jacquelyn from Moments in Film her work is all over my sites and she shot all 8 weddings. She donated her time and talent. The Cake Contessa who's cupcakes were treasured by all...... also donated! Kay from 6 star limo. Reverend Vanessa who helped me in the performance of the back to back ceremonies. My mom who greeted guests gave out goody bags and T-Shirts (one of our military brides makes the tee's). And the shops in the Farmhouse Village and Jd's Homestead who offered discounted services. The Gilbert House Resturant, The Country Cottage Cafe, Old Word Pizza Kitchen we have fantastic neighbors. All but one store did not participate in this event!

Chapel At The Farm Valentine's Day Event

Chapel At The Farm is offering FREE weddings or vow renewals to active military couples on Valentine's Day. It's our small way to say thank you for all that you do! The express wedding will include the officiant fee, sparkling cider toast, a sweet treat, and discounts offered from participating shops at The Farmhouse Village and The Homestead Village. Please call us to reserve your space 480-752-3733. Two separate venues will accommodate from 12 guests up to 30 guests.

The Bridal Fair

WOW What a wonderful turn out! I want to thank all the brides that have mentioned that they have been following my blog. Who would have guessed it was so many? We had an overwhelming response of how affordable are rates are. And.... no .....we have no plans to increase our prices. We want to keep our rates affordable for couples getting married. I would encourage you to come to our open house every Saturday & Sunday from 12- 2 through the month of February to see us in person. Most everyone that has visited Chapel At The Farm in person comments on how charming the old Farmhouse is. We are really proud. Just a quick FYI most of our Farmhouse Pavilion and Simply Chic dates are filling for March, April, and October (because it is peak season in the wedding business) so, if you are thinking of having your wedding in those months you may want to contact us ASAP. Many of you are well ahead of plan for your 2010 weddings we are now accepting reservation for through May 2010 it's a bit too early for October 2010.

Happy New Year!

Chapel At The Farm had 12 weddings in the month of December! And, to date, we have booked over 30 weddings for 2009. I had no idea when opening at the end of October that we would book so many weddings! We have gotten off to a fantastic start and I know the new year will bring happiness and joy to many, many, more couples looking for an affordable venue.
